Support Worker -Autism and Learning Disabilities

We are looking for one of lives angels to come and work with us as a support worker supporting up to 5 gentlemen in a supported living environment. Much of your time will be demonstrating skills to the person being supported to live a more independent life. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: £23,400 per annum plus additional £1200 per year based on 2 waking nights per month
Overtime pay: Enhanced overtime pay for weekdays and weekends over 37.5 contracted hours
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
Shift Patterns: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
For this role you will be required to take the people we support out and about for various social activities. Therefore you are required to hold a full UK manual driving licence to apply for this role.

We are looking for calm, patient, and resilient Support Workers. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
As a support worker, you will be part of an experienced staff team working within a busy and vibrant home where no two days are the same.
Support worker duties include:
You will be working in peoples private home in a shared property.
Daily activities will include supporting the people we support to cook their meals, basic cleaning tasks, food shopping and medication administration (after completing relevant training).
Providing support for offsite activities such as going to the gym, bowling, sensory room, historic gardens and any other interests and appointments.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of.
Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims.
Going away on seaside and caravan staycations with the people we support, helping them to live their best life
Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
To work in accordance with SeeAbility’s valuesYou will work closely with the registered manager, deputy manager and your seniors to ensure that we are delivering the best person-centred care, ensuring outstanding delivery of support in line with our vision; inclusive communities where people with dementia, autism, and learning disabilities and physical disabilities participate as equal citizens.
Who will you be supporting?
James enjoys going to 'Farmability' where he gets to paint, feed the animals, do wood work and much more. He has built his independence over the years and loves interacting with his housemates
Jon has the best sense of humour and always has a smile. He makes us laugh on a daily basis and is full of jokes. He loves to go swimming and to travel to Oxford and London.
Jake enjoys sitting in the bedroom and listening to music. He has his own sensory swing in the garden which he likes to relax in. He has built up his courage to now go out and do swimming and long walks. He makes people laugh and giving out hugs and enjoys head rubs.
Joe is an amazing young man, he loves to chill, trampoline, going out and shopping. He loves to keep busy.
Jason is an independent man who enjoys going out shopping or for walks.
