About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is pivotal in supporting our young learners, particularly those who require additional help to achieve their full potential. The TA will work closely with teachers to deliver boosters and interventions, helping low-achieving students catch up and excel.
While a qualification is preferred, we value experience and the ability to connect with and support children. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and committed to making a positive impact on our pupils’ educational journey.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with Key Stage 1 children, especially in providing boosters and interventions.
• A qualification in education or child development is preferred but not essential if sufficient experience is demonstrated.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
• Commitment to the school’s values of respect, responsibility, and aspiration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support and interventions to Key Stage 1 students who need extra help in their learning.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective booster sessions.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers to identify pupils’ needs and tailor support accordingly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
