About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic primary school team in Newham, London. As a key member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience of our students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality support to students across KS1 and KS2, both in-class and through small group interventions.
  • Assisting teachers in planning, preparation, and assessment, ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.
  • Leading and managing classroom activities in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Developing strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive school culture.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • A solid understanding of the UK national curriculum, particularly across Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with children and helping them thrive.
