Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Ocean Freight Supervisor/Team Lead to join our brand-ne office facility in Altrincham, Manchester. As a leader in our ocean freight department, you will be responsible for managing a small team of ocean freight operators and overseeing import and export operations for FCL, LCL & NVO consignments.

Ocean Freight Supervisor Responsibilities:

Lead and coach a small team of ocean freight operators, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
Oversee import and export operations, ensuring efficient and timely handling of ocean freight shipments.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize ocean freight processes and improve customer satisfaction.
Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.Essential experience:

Proven experience as an Ocean Freight Team Leader or Supervisor, with a strong understanding of import and export operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Thorough knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving operational processes.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
