Job Title: Ocean Freight Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ocean Freight Team Leader to oversee our ocean freight operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete start-to-finish ocean freight operations; both Importing & Exporting
  • Lead, mentor and provide guidance to the team
  • Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
  • Collaborate with the sales, customer relationship and digital marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our client base
  • Strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and develop customer base
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and ensure compliance within the department
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience of ocean freight operations
  • Strong understanding of customs procedures and regulations
  • Imports and Exports
  • FCL & LCL experience
  • Experience in managing a team, with excellent leadership and people management skills
  • The ability to run internal audits
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented mind-set
