Ocean Freight Supervisor Job Description

**Job Title:** Ocean Freight Supervisor

**Location:** Manchester, UK

**Salary:** Up to £45,000 per annum

**Hours:** Monday to Friday, 9:00am-17:30pm

**Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ocean Freight Supervisor to join our team at WR Logistics. As a key member of our ocean freight department, you will be responsible for managing a small team of ocean freight operators and overseeing import and export operations for FCL, LCL & NVO consignments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead and coach a small team of ocean freight operators, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
* Oversee import and export operations, ensuring efficient and timely handling of ocean freight shipments.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize ocean freight processes and improve customer satisfaction.
* Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.

**Requirements:**

* Proven experience as an Ocean Freight Team Leader or Supervisor, with a strong understanding of import and export operations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Thorough knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving operational processes.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
