About the Job:
My client requires an experienced leader to head up their Waste/Environmental Services provision. You will be expected to be the strategic lead for the council's waste management services, including residential and commercial collections, HWRC provision, and related waste treatment. You will be required to ensure the below
The department is adhering to the councils strategic approach to waste management pursuant with all relevant sector legislation.
The development of the waste management strategy meets the needs of the city's residents and are understood and provided for in its waste delivery approach.
The provision of outsourced waste services including the council's PFI waste contract is aligned to the Council's needs and priorities.The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and to strict deadlines; at all times ensuring that a high quality standard of work is delivered. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority who are continually look to expand their team.

You will have experience as a strategic lead and as an expert in waste management provision for local authorities
Experience of producting and managing high level plans and strategies
High level of communication skills to managing strategic relationships and get the best out of your team
