Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnered with a global organisation on the brand new appointment for a Procurement Manager to join their Teesside based site.
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all UK spend and procurement activities including shaping purchasing strategies, the sourcing and selection of global suppliers and sub-contract services, building relationships and managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure that business requirements and objectives are met.
Being a brand new stand-alone position within the business, this is a fantastic opportunity to put your own stamp on things, shape and develop processes, spot opportunities to improve as well as delivering value-add solutions. The Procurement Manager will also have strong input into the implementation of a brand new SAP-based MRP system, so being process-driven and continuous improvement led will be highly advantageous.
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience / skills:
* Previous experience within a Senior Procurement position with the ability to shape solutions, make decisions and drive best practice
* Highly competent working with SAP, ideally with experience delivering an implementation of MRP / SAP
* Experience working across a variety of procurement categories including directs, indirects and services
* Experience or familiarity working within an engineering or construction environment would be useful
In return, the client is offering a competitive salary of £45K-£55K (dependant on experience) alongside a suite of benefits, which includes:
