Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation for construction projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Project Management: Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project targets are met.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
  • Skills: Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Development: Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Travel: Full UK driving license.
