I am currently representing Kingston Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of £437.06 which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are looking for a Programme Delivery Director this role will be: KT1 1EU
The right candidate will:
* Providing the strategic leadership to the Temporary Accommodation Programme and the wider transformational thinking and ways of working across the organisation.
* Lead the delivery of the Temporary Accommodation programme plan, working collaboratively with the Head of Community Housing and other stakeholders within the Housing service and across the organisation.
* Oversight and leadership of a programme team that will work to refine service requirements and challenge services to maximise the use of existing resources and opportunities to transform service delivery.
* Ensuring effective governance is in place to provide the Senior Leadership Team with the right levels of programme assurance and oversight of delivery and benefits tracking of the Temporary Accommodation programme, including the delivery of significant financial benefits to support the organisation’s financial sustainability.
* Working corporately with the Corporate Leadership Group, and as part of the Directorate Management Team, the Programme Director will provide leadership direction and impact to the Temporary Accommodation programme.
* The role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Housing and is directly responsible for driving delivery, providing programme assurance in collaboration with the Corporate Head of Community Housing to ensure that expected benefits are delivered in line with the critical path and planned outcomes for the Temporary Accommodation programme.
* The post holder will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders within the service as well as Corporate Transformation & Improvement, Finance, Human Resources, Adult Social Care, Commissioning, Digital, Children’s Services and external partners.
* This role will also lead on stakeholder engagement with officers at all levels of the organisation to drive delivery.
We require the following:
* Knowledge and senior level experience of public sector Housing Services - essential.
* Experience of delivering change and transformation in a public sector environment
* Knowledge and understanding of Local Authority services
* Proven project/programme management skills and experience
* Strong analytical and commercial skills
* Experience of leading and managing complex change projects
* Strong leadership skills, modelling a performance culture and constructively building achievement, confidence and skills in others
* Ability to question and challenge conventional thinking, with a continual eye on the bigger picture in terms of the corporate context and external environment
* Ability to role model agility and adaptability in mindset and ways of working
* Ability to work effectively and successfully with key stakeholders including Members, residents, businesses, communities, partner organisations and other public services
* Commitment to own personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role
* Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of innovation and creativity.
