About the school:

Nestled in a beautiful setting with a river nearby, our Church of England Primary School in Cheshunt offers a serene and inspiring environment for both teaching and learning. Our school boasts a large playing field, a nature trail, and three hard surface playgrounds. We have an Early Years Unit, a well-stocked library, an ICT suite, and a music room, all of which enrich our students’ learning experiences. Our extended school facilities include a meeting/PPA room, small group working areas, and an Adult and Community Learning room.

With a strong supportive Governing Body and PTA, we foster a community-oriented atmosphere. Our single-story building features individual classrooms and a large multi-purpose hall at its centre, with most parts of the school accessible to wheelchair users. We have close links with our Parish Church, enhancing our community spirit and values.

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a lovely school environment with flexible hours, providing the perfect work-life balance. There is potential for this role to develop into a full-time position in the future. We prefer experienced teachers, but outstanding Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will also be considered.

The role involves creating engaging and dynamic lessons that inspire and motivate our KS2 students, fostering a love of learning and academic excellence.

Application Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience in teaching KS2 is preferred.

• Passion for education and commitment to student success.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Support the social and emotional development of students.

• Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
