The Academic Mentor for SEN role involves providing support for young people with SEN/SEMH needs. This includes ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and more, assisting students in small groups and 1:1. You will also be responsible for helping out in the classroom with Maths, English, Science and more and providing feedback to class teachers.

Academic Mentor for SEN Job Description

£105 - £110 per day
Monday - Friday only
Term-Time only
Long-Term, Full-Time role
Based in Waltham Forest
September StartAcademic Mentor for SEN Role

Working in a fantastic, inclusive Secondary School
Providing support to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
Assisting students with Maths, English, Science, etc.
Monitoring the academic progress of individual students through setting and achieving targetsThe Ideal Academic Mentor for SEN

A graduate with strong academics, e.g. 1st Class degree or 2:1
A passionate individual that is dedicated to supporting children
Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH needs
