Vertical Recruitment are working with a renowned residential developer known for their innovative and high-quality residential designs. They are looking to expand their in-house Architectural team with both Part I and Part II architectural assistants.

Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join a firm where you will work on residential projects from the moment the land is acquired to the final stages of construction. You will be involved in the initial designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, ensuring that each project meets the high standards of quality that are already in place.

Project Responsibilities

* Produce design and technical drawings.

* Produce presentation material, reports and models (ability to produce rendered images from 3D software desirable).

* Liaise with external consultants as appropriate.

* Participate in design debate, presentations and project reviews.

* Attend site as required to successfully deliver the project.

* Other tasks as reasonably required.

Non Project Responsibilities

* Ad hoc administrative duties as required.

* Develop and maintain an appropriate understanding of UK legislation, planning, construction and health and safety.

* Manage personal CPD.

Skills

* Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and manage with limited supervision.

* Good design eye/ creativity with drawing skills by hand as well as CAD.

* Ability to communicate design ideas both verbally and visually.

* Knowledge of Revit is preferable.

* Knowledge of Sketchup or AutoCad.

* Knowledge of Adobe packages (indesign, photoshop, illustrator).

* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

* RIBA Part 1 Architect (first degree, some experience preferable but could be directly out of university if you can use the correct software)

* RIBA Part 2 Architect with 1-3 years in practice (have done second degree but not chartered)
