Wirral, United Kingdom Insight Executive Group Full time

Insight are supporting a large NHS organisation in the North West to appoint a Head of Security for an interim period of 6 - 12 months. The hourly pay will be £34 inside IR35, 37.5 hours a week.

This is a senior strategic security role with key responsibilities in security management, improvement, policy, violence & Aggression and leadership.

Main duties:

* Act as the Trust Security Professional/Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS).

* Provide security advice and expertise to senior managers including directors and executive directors to ensure the Trust meets its statutory obligations in respect to Security management.

* Provide technical, strategic, and tactical advice and expertise to senior managers including directors and executive directors. This may be during the planning of any Trust activities or because of information received from internal or external parties that may have a Security impact.

* Be responsible for the maintenance and review of the security related issues on the Trust risk register.

* Undertake an objective review of incidents which have required the use of restraint by security staff to manage an incident.

* Oversee the maintenance and development of the Trusts CCTV Control Room, security systems (CCTV, Access Control & Keys) and car parking systems.

* Reviewing, writing, and implementing the Trusts Security Management policies, procedures and SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures).

* Responsible for the management and implementation of the Trust’s security and NHS agenda and monitoring and reporting serious incidents.

the ideal candidate will have:

* Degree or equivalent experience.

* Formal Project management qualification or relevant experience e.g., Prince 2 / APM.

* Able to present and communicate confidential, highly sensitive and complex information relating to security to all levels, including Trust Board.

* Experience of working in a senior management role in the NHS or military sector organisation.
