About the Learning Support Assistant Role:

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Individual Support: Provide one-to-one and group support to Year 3 pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to the needs of SEN pupils.
Behaviour Management: Implement and support positive behaviour strategies to create a conducive learning environment.

Inclusive Environment: Promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and engagement from all pupils.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Knowledge: Understanding of SEN practices and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
Commitment: Ability to commit to a long-term role and contribute to the continuous development of pupils.
