Learning Support Assistant

Location: Grays
Salary: £80 - £100 per Day
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their education? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a co-educational secondary school in Grays. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential and succeed in their studies.

Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be-

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to secondary students.
Providing 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional help.
Helping creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
Supporting students with special educational needs, including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and ADHD.
Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and staff.
Implementing strategies to manage student behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management policy.
Participating in team meetings and contribute to the planning and review of student support plans.
Requirements:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will need-

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
Understanding of the secondary school curriculum.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or youth work is appreciated (not a must).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
