Our client in the renewable energy market is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its team. You will be responsible for, and take ownership of, the Product Data Management (PDM) and Document Management (DM) systems. This role's responsibilities include setting up, maintaining, and improving the PDM & DM systems and processes, approval workflows, templates, and overall vaults and databases. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have proven experience in a similar role and experience with PDM and DM systems. You will ideally have a background in the manufacturing or engineering space.

Key objectives

Management of the PDMS and associated workflows
Management of the DMS and associated workflows
Creation and maintenance of standard documents and templates
Creating and improving workflow control procedures
Providing governance of approval workflows and usage of document templates
Ensure the PDMS and DMS meet requirements for certification, as applicable
Maintaining the databases and vaults for staged and released objects
Conducting regular reviews and document audits
Supporting the Project Management, Engineering, Production, and Quality functions in the release cycles
Provide oversight on the usage of the PDMS and DMS and ensure compliance on best practices and with established workflowsEducation / Skills

Knowledge and experience of with PDM and DM systems
Experience with PDMS and DMS workflows within an engineering environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be thorough and have excellent attention to detail
Strong IT skills in MS office including outlook, excel and word
