Becky at JT Recruit is working in partnership with a local Authority based in Derby who looking for your housing knowledge to work within the Housing Team on a short term contract

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support Homelessness Advisors:

Assist in delivering effective and efficient housing advice.

Provide assistance to meet customers' housing needs.

Customer Contact:

Reach out to customers owed a statutory homeless duty.

Review and assess their current housing circumstances.

Offer information and support regarding housing options.

Enquiry Management:

Take appropriate actions to handle enquiries effectively.

Ensure customer queries are addressed promptly and accurately.

System Updates:

Update all aspects of computerised housing systems.

Maintain detailed casework records.

Collaboration with Agencies:

Work with both statutory and non-statutory agencies.

Attend meetings as required to coordinate efforts.

Safeguarding:

Comply with safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults.

Team Participation:

Actively participate in team meetings, one-on-ones, and job chats.

Contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Interdepartmental Cooperation:

Collaborate with key agencies and departments within departments of the Local Authority.

Health and Safety:

Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Technology Utilisation:

Work with new technology and computerised systems.

Stay updated with technological advancements relevant to the role.

Equalities Commitment:

Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the Equalities Policies s.

Promote equality and diversity in all aspects of work.

Additional Duties:

Undertake any additional duties that are commensurate with the grading and level of the post.

Be flexible and adaptable to changing job requirements

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08.30-17.00
