Key Responsibilities:

* Provide the management team with professional advice and guidance on all health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.

* Develop and implement company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.

* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports with recommendations for preventative measures.

* Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a strong safety culture.

* Monitor and review the company's SHEQ management system's effectiveness and make necessary improvements.

* Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers on SHEQ matters and ensure compliance with their requirements

* Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices and communicate these to the management team and employees.

* Prepare and submit relevant SHEQ reports to the management team and clients as required.

Requirements:

* NEBOSH Level 6 or NCRQ Level 6 qualification

* CSCS certification

* Working knowledge of HSG47

* Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in the construction industry

* In-depth knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation and best practices

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands

* Willingness to travel between Barking and Potters Bar as required
