The company seeks a skilled and motivated Technical Manager to lead the Technical Team. The ideal candidate will manage design and pre-construction projects, exhibit excellent leadership skills, and drive technical excellence from initial design to project completion.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Technical Manager:

Experienced in managing design and pre-construction projects for developments of 5-50 homes.
Knowledgeable about JCT Design & Build contracts.
Proficient in using Asta Powerproject and Viewpoint for Projects.
Strong grasp of the commercial aspects of residential development.
Excellent skills in communication and organisation.
Coordinate and integrate design tasks into project schedules.
Assemble and manage design teams to ensure timely and precise project delivery.
Lead pre-development activities, including utility disconnection and regulatory compliance.
Obtain client design approval and manage design changes during construction.
Collaborate with clients to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Partner with commercial and construction teams to mitigate project risks.
Maintain the project risk register throughout the pre-construction phase.
Lead design team meetings, ensuring cohesive and cost-effective project designs.
Mentor Technical Coordinators and foster a collaborative work environment.
Contribute to project strategies, gather quotes from design teams, and propose value engineering options.
Oversee project development through the RIBA Stage 4-7 design process.
