We're helping to recruit a Materials Controller on a permanent full time basis, and the role comes with an excellent salary up to £27,500 per annum and benefits package.

As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting any risks to supply and manage the delivery schedule of FCLs, ensuring no detention occurs while passing freight-related invoices for FCLs and liaising with 3PLs.

What You Will Do:

Release Purchase Orders and expedite component orders to maintain delivery dates and support assembly and after-sales.
Raise manually generated orders to provide components outside of the MRP control.
Monitor delivery performance of selected vendors and implement improvements in supplier delivery adherence.
Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss and agree on targets and actions in line with above responsibilities.
Identify and report any risks to the company's continuity of component supply in a timely manner.
Support other areas of the department and organization to achieve company objectives.

What You Will Bring:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C to include English Language and Maths.
Experience in purchasing and an understanding of MRP.
Numeracy and good attention to detail.
Computer literacy.
Ability to communicate clearly at all times.
