TristoneNash have partnered with a highly reputable social housing provider who is seeking to appoint a Customer Income Officer.

Location: Oxfordshire

Start date: Mid-June 2024

Home-working: 3 days from home per week

Length of Contract: Permanent

Pay: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week (09:00am to 17:00pm, Monday to Friday)

* Providing customers (general and vulnerable needs) with budgeting and welfare benefit advice, completing Income and Expenditure statements, giving budgeting advice, benefit & grant applications, and signposting for additional support

* Working with partners both internally and externally including Housing benefit, Department of Works and Pensions and independent money, debt or legal advice services

* Having updated knowledge of the benefits system

* Working with customers across a defined locality, co-creating customer success maps, providing support and advice on money management and savings

* Ensuring that customers are able to maintain their tenancies

* Being able to give accurate advice on benefits, including overpayment queries and appeals

* Maintaining knowledge on local grants and funding that may apply to customers as well as knowledge of arrears prevention/collection
