SANZA Teaching Agency are currently supporting a creative, community, 2-form entry primary school in Ealing (Ealing Broadway). They are seeking an active, adaptable teaching assistant to join their team

The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child in reception who has special needs/SEN (Autism).

Key responsibilities:

Support student with SEN/special needs on a 1:1 basis
Supporting children with their learning and development
Providing feedback to the class teacher on children's progress
Preparing learning resources and materials
Helping with the supervision of children during break times
Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment

Requirements:

Experience working in a primary school, preferably in the EYFS
A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
Experience supporting children with SEN (Autism)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Understanding of pre-verbal communication methods and strategies
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and the ability to adapt them to meet individual needs
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
