The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of our students. This position involves working closely with teachers, students, and parents to ensure that each student receives the tailored support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-class support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities.
Support students with individual and small group interventions, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
Help to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Supervise students during break and lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of all students.
Person Specification:

Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role is desirable.
A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A good understanding of child development and learning strategies.
Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
