Our client offers specialist services in facilities management, health and safety, fire safety, security, technical design, and sustainability.
The Role: Be a Leader in Government Estate Expansion
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead significant expansion projects within either the Women's Estate or the Small Secure Houseblocks. This role is pivotal to the delivery of new, secure, and innovative accommodation solutions. You'll be at the forefront, accountable to the Head of Programme Delivery, and overseeing outsourced professional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including judiciary, prison governors, probation officers, and facilities management, to develop comprehensive project proposals.
Drive project success from feasibility studies and business cases to completion, ensuring value for money and benefit realization.
Present findings and progress at Board and Senior level briefings.
Oversee the procurement and performance of supply chain resources, ensuring all projects meet quality and time standards.
Implement risk management strategies and maintain critical project paths.
Engage in hybrid working with site visits across England and Wales, and occasionally London and Scotland.Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in large-scale construction projects (valued at £100m+), a strong ability to manage diverse stakeholders, and expertise in navigating complex environments. Key skills include:
Drafting and presenting business cases, and managing board-level communications.
Familiarity with Government Soft Landings (GSL) and the RIBA digital plan of works.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, supplier relationship management, and sustainability policies.Highly Desirable:
Government Property Profession awareness.
Expertise in facilities management, health & safety, fire safety.
Project management qualifications (Prince 2, MSP).
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Proficiency in PPC 2000 and NEC3 contract forms.Why Apply?
