About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Selby. This full-time position is available for an immediate start or a September 2024 start. The role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged with their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes and support students in their learning during the absence of their regular teacher.
Ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
Deliver pre-set work to students and help where necessary.
Follow and uphold the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour.
The Successful Candidate Will:

Have experience working within an educational setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate the ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning activities.
Be adaptable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
