The Head of Information Security is responsible for managing the IT and Cybersecurity programmes within the business which includes, the continued development and implementation of the IT security strategy, road map and resourcing needs to deliver the business outcomes.

With this business being an Operator of Essential Infrastructure, the Head of Information Security will continue the development and implementation of an integrated cybersecurity strategy and management system, addressing the cybersecurity risk and to ensure compliance with the Network Information Security requirements. Together with the Cybersecurity Manager, and in frequent engagement with the Engineering & Operations teams.

Line management responsibility for IT team members, to organise, support and coach them in the delivery of the IT and Cybersecurity requirements.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

General management of the company's IT programme. (Strategy, architecture and road map; resource and budget management; risk management) - ensure the business has the tools it needs to thrive and meet challenges head on.
General management of the company's Cybersecurity programme across IT and Operational Technology - noting that INT is classified as Operator of Essential Infrastructure - to ensure compliance and robust approach to cyber security.
This includes among others:

Maintaining an appropriate operating model (resourcing, roles & responsibilities) for business as usual as well as enhancements to the cybersecurity posture considering evolving risks and compliance requirements
Defining, presenting, planning and delivering on security projects (incl. budget and resource managements)
Maintaining the cybersecurity risk management framework to identify, assess, manage, monitor and report on cyber security risk; in alignment with the company's and the wider group's enterprise risk management framework
Keep track of regulatory and legislative evolutions, and ensure continued delivery against these requirements within the cybersecurity team and the wider organisation
Mature the company's assurance workstream (e.g. testing and auditing on the implementation and effectiveness of the controls), as well as by providing dashboards and reporting at operational level, management level and Board level.
Maintain and support the continued development and review of the Cyber Security Management System, and lead on its implementation & communication across the wider organisationIf you have experience heading up the security function of an OT and IT environment and want to make your mark on a business requiring change, please get in touch
