Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for ages 18-65
Band: 6
Location: South Yorkshire
Duration: 3 months (ongoing)
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £25 per hour

A Day in the Life of a Community Psychiatric Nurse

As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, your role is essential in providing care and support to patients within the community. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Patient Visits: Conducting regular visits to ensure patients' needs are met and their well-being is monitored.
Medication Administration: Ensuring patients receive their medications on time to manage their conditions effectively.
Patient Interaction: Engaging with patients to understand their conditions, providing support, and monitoring their progress.
Risk Assessments: Performing necessary risk assessments to ensure the safety of patients and those around them, creating a secure environment for treatment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

Active NMC Registration: A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a mental health nurse.
Community Experience: Proven experience working within a community setting.
Effective Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Resilience Under Pressure: Capability to work efficiently under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
