Key Responsibilities:
Service Management:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of care services, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and maintain high standards of care, ensuring that all care is person-centred and respects the dignity and choices of service users.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Staff Leadership and Development:
* Lead, manage, and motivate a team of care staff, providing regular supervision and support.
* Conduct staff appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure continuous professional development.
* Lead on recruitment, induction, and training of new care staff.
* Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters team collaboration and high morale.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
* Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
* Implement quality improvement initiatives based on feedback from service users, families, and staff.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on service performance to senior management.
Service User and Family Engagement:
* Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and representatives.
* Conduct regular reviews of care plans in consultation with service users and their families.
* Handle complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner, ensuring swift resolution.
Financial and Operational Management:
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that the service operates within financial constraints.
* Oversee scheduling and rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
* Liaise with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and local authorities to coordinate care and support services.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Proven experience in a service management role, ideally within a domestic abuse housing environment.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising a team.
* Excellent knowledge of care standards, CQC regulations, and other relevant legislation.
* Ability to develop person-centred care plans that meet the needs and preferences of service users.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
