About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN-TA specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team. This full-time, long-term role offers a daily rate of £85-£100. The position has become available due to a valued team member retiring after many years of service. As an SEN-TA at our school, you will be working closely with students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing essential support to children with ASD. You will join a team of experienced educators in a school that values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• Strong understanding of ASD and effective strategies to support children with the condition.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special educational needs.

• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.

• Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

• Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure cohesive support for students.

• Monitoring and recording student progress, and reporting to the SENCO and class teacher.
