Sheffield Childrens Hospital are currently seeking experienced Mental Health Practitioner to provide a high quality, responsive service in supporting the delivery of the CAMHS Primary Mental Health Service.

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services.

We see children from 0-16 in most cases and in some cases up to 18.

We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom

Main duties of the job

* Providing specialist CAMHS consultation, assessment and interventions to Early Help Services

* Undertaking mental health assessments with other members of the Early Help services

* Formulating packages of care to meet the mental health needs of children and families

* Providing universal group work to professionals, parents or young people to promote good mental health and problem prevention.

* Use their own knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions to provide treatment for young people using specific clinical intervention/strategies

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

* Current Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy Registration

* Post registration clinical training relevant to CAMHS/Mental Health

* Teaching and Assessing ENB 998/Mentorship or equivalent

* Significant post registration experience within a CAMHS/Mental Health Setting

* Hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
