About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialisation in challenging behaviours to join our team. This full-time position is a new addition, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional support to our students. You will work closely with a small class of students, ensuring they receive the individual attention they need to thrive.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your primary role expectations include supporting students with challenging behaviours and working alongside teachers to implement individualised education plans.
With small, focused groups, you’ll have the opportunity to provide personalized support that makes a real difference.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours in an educational setting.
• A strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with challenging behaviours.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation strategies.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
