Are you an experienced Product Manager working with fresh produce ? If so, we want to hear from you.
Job Role :
As Product Manager, you will ensure product safety, quality, integrity, and legality throughout the facility. The role involves maximising product returns and implementing strategic quality improvement plans.
Responsibilities:
Oversee quality functions in production and dispatch, and manage shelf life and benchmarking processes.
Work closely with various teams (Technical, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Sourcing) to understand and meet customer quality performance and stakeholder requirements.
Supervise and mentor the QRC team, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
Support microbiological and pesticide residue testing regimes, ensure safety and legal compliance, and implement the Safety Management System.
Manage training plans for the Quality, ripening and Production teams, ensuring effective skill development.
Capture quality performance data, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.Requirements:
At least 5 years in a Fresh Produce quality function, ideally as a Senior Product Manager, it will be well-suited for someone with a strong background in quality management within the fresh produce industry, who is customer-focused, analytical, and capable of leading a team while ensuring compliance with safety standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ideally Microsoft D365.
Ability to make urgent decisions, manage multiple projects, and work independently.
Strong problem-solving abilities, data interpretation, and trend analysis.
Capable of leading and working effectively with teams across different levels of management.
Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage high-stress situations, and ensure accuracy in work.
