Overview of a Marketing Assistant:
Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Marketing Assistant to join an expanding team. The role of a Marketing Assistant has a competitive pay rate of £14.50 PAYE, increasing in line with Harrow Council Pay Scale increments. Other benefits include, accruing up to 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.

The Main Purpose of a Marketing Assistant:
" Support the implementation of marketing strategies for Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor & Museum, ensuring our brands are protected in both internal and external communications.
" Liaise with the public, touring companies, stakeholders, colleagues and the media in person, by telephone and email.
" Responsible for social media presence including publishing editorial, creative and video content.
" Assist in the production of the season print, with responsibility for collating imagery, copy and accuracy of content, print production, and liaising with visiting companies and printers to coordinate the production of other publicity materials as required.
" Create and maintain content on Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor & Museum websites and manage listings on third party websites.
" Responsible for the distribution of print and maintenance of customer databases including community groups and schools.
" Ensure promotional opportunities within the venues are used to best effect, as well as creating eye-catching displays and plasma screen presentations.
" Support marketing campaigns and assist in the production of information for the public, press and media.

About you, the successful Marketing Assistant will have:
" To have knowledge of arts marketing related software packages such as Spektrix, Dotmailer and experience of desktop publishing.
" To have experience of working and/or studying within an arts and marketing environment or equivalent.
" To demonstrate an awareness of the importance of customer care, being responsive and considerate of customer needs and dealing effectively with a wide range of clients, partners and other stakeholders.
" To have experience of meeting tight deadlines and prioritising workloads along with demonstrable skills in successful event/project planning.
" To have experience of accurate data input and calculations relating to customer information and evaluation.
" Your availability must be flexible as the job involves regular daytime, evening and weekend work according to the needs of the service.
