Business Development Manager - Residential and Second Charge Mortgages

Compensation: Negotiable

Location: Watford

Key Responsibilities:

- Take charge of establishing, retaining, and expanding customer relationships within the residential mortgage and second charge markets, encompassing packaging partners, mortgage intermediaries, and network partners.

- Collaborate closely with the internal sales team to identify fresh business prospects.

- Coordinate with our residential and second charge underwriting teams to ensure exceptional service delivery to our broker partners.

- Forge robust relationships with pivotal stakeholders and third-party entities as necessary.

- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with broker partners to meet personal objectives, demonstrating flexibility to operate beyond designated regions.

- Attend head office meetings as required.

- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of our broker portal and Fusion system to proficiently address queries related to our residential and second charge broker portal.

- Cultivate strong working relationships with our broker partners and internal teams including broker support, underwriting, and sales, to facilitate enquiries and completions aligned with key business objectives and strategic goals.

- Develop an in-depth comprehension of our residential mortgage and second charge product range, alongside a functional knowledge of other lending products.

- Deepen understanding of our packaging requirements as outlined in our lending policy to enhance the quality of loan packs and expedite completion by minimizing outstanding needs requested by our underwriters.

Skills & Competencies:

- Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements and responsible lending policies, consistently adhering to company policy.

- Capable of effectively handling incoming calls and case referrals from broker partners regarding potential and existing loan applications, efficiently distributing calls and taking appropriate action.

- Skilled at delivering training on our products, criteria, and packaging requirements to new brokers and their teams in accordance with our lending policy guidelines.

- Stay abreast of market changes and competitor analysis to support the product development team and broaden industry knowledge.

- Prepared to undertake additional duties including system testing when necessary
