Principal Sustainability Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplined design consultancy who specialise in sustainability and ESG services. They are on the lookout for a Principal Sustainability Consultant to manage their energy and sustainability team based in Nottingham and lead on a range of non-domestic projects.

Role responsibilities for a Principal Sustainability Consultant include:

Produce sustainability strategies to help clients achieve compliance with their targets
Coordinating sustainability strategies and services by working with other team members and supporting planning applications, as well as producing sustainability statements
Providing consultant advice on sustainability issues and corporate sustainability metrics
Attend project meetings, mentor junior members of staff, managing the budget of individual projects, and maintaining client and delivery team relationshipsThe ideal Principal Sustainability Consultant will have:

Degree within an environmental science, sustainability, or engineering field
A minimum of 7 years' experience within a sustainability consultancy role within the construction industry
Be a CIBSE accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessor
Strong knowledge of London planning requirements as well as UK Building Regulations
Experience with carrying out Overheating assessments and strategies using IES-VE software
Excellent communication and presentation skillsBenefits of the role include:
