PE Global is recruiting a Buyer for our multinational mining and construction client based in Stafford. This role is an initial 6-month contract and is hybrid with 3 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities of the role:
• In charge of putting a local sourcing strategy into action
• Overseeing policies, contracts, and unique buying programs, as well as assisting with new product introduction (NPI) for specific product lines
• Leading efforts to reduce costs, improve sourcing and logistics, and manage resources
• Heading up ongoing improvement efforts and activities to introduce new products within the Purchasing department
• Acting as the point of contact between Category Buyers and Buyers at our global manufacturing sites.

Requirements:
• Degree educated or equivalent experience within a Purchasing role.
• Previous experience in managing a supplier base including prototype solutions.
• Ability to lead teams, suppliers, and customers to effective solutions
• Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skills
• Effective communicator
• MFG Pro is used within the role, experience would be advantageous.
