**Junior Buyer**

**Stafford (ST16) or Shrewsbury (SY1) - Hybrid (3 days on site/2 days WFH)**

**Initial 12-month contract - likely to extend for the right person**

**Hours: Full time (37 / 37.5 hrs. a week) - early finish on a Friday**

**Up to £19.41 per hour PAYE (umbrella contract rates also available)**

There is an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Buyer, this is a new role that’s been created to support the Buyers in our client’s global procurement team, who manage supply network procurement related activities for the facility, delivering procurement excellence.

**What would you do?**
- Process requisitions and provide support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation
- Develop improvement plans related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations
- Perform analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, build expertise for the assigned process area, and contribute to continuous improvement
- Support customers & customer proposal efforts, with pricing details & supplier selection
- Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives

**What are we looking for?**
- Demonstrable experience in a similar purchasing role ideally within Manufacturing
- Familiar with basic procurement and quality principles, procedures, and techniques
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and MRP systems
- Ability to prioritise work, be organised, self-supporting and work from your own initiative
- An eye for detail with a thorough approach - accuracy & ‘attention to detail’ is key
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £19.15-£26.08 per hour
