Inspection Team Leader – The Role:

 

You'll be responsible for the supervision of all Inspectors in your team and the allocation of work. You will need to ensure your team are clear on their daily activities, and coach and facilitate their ability to deliver on them. This involves supporting staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities reach the business goals and expectations. You will need to ensure components are inspected using appropriate inspection techniques to department standards, and that material and treatment documentation is correct and in accordance with route operations and technical specifications. Scrutinising and adjusting work schedules to solve scheduling and inspection quality problems will be required.

 

Inspection Team Leader – The Person:

 

We're seeking an individual who is a proven leader, and able to develop a cohesive team that performs well under pressure. A strong engineering background is required, and you need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols and technical specifications that enable appropriate inspection levels. You will also need to have a proficient use of current department measurement technology. We want a high performing individual with the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure, and work to strict deadlines with minimum supervision. Good organisation, effective communication and an attention to detail is important, and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork is highly valued.
