This role is perfect for someone with experience in an SME environment looking to take their career to the next level.
What you’ll do:
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support business profitability and expansion.
- Management Reporting: Provide accurate and insightful reports to facilitate key decision-making processes.
- Journal Preparation: Prepare month-end and year-end journals with precision and efficiency.
- Management Accounts: Generate detailed Management Accounts to assist in strategic planning and execution.
- Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process, aligning with the business goals.
- Capital Expenditure Management: Oversee capital expenditure to optimise resources.
- Financial Statements: Produce comprehensive financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and insightful commentaries.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the wider team to achieve excellence in financial operations.
- Customs Compliance: Take ownership of customs bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Process Improvement: Review accounting processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
Skills & Knowledge Specification:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a related finance role.
- CIMA or AAT Level 4 Qualified
- Strong proficiency in Excel and good data reporting experience
- Commitment to meeting deadlines with accurate information.
- Great attention to detail and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems, with experience using Xero being advantageous.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
