We currently have significant momentum across all pillars of our business after landing several long-term commercial rights representation clients, and live advisory mandates for leading global sports properties and institutional investors. In addition, we recently advised PFL Africa on its successful fundraise from Helios Sports & Entertainment Group.

This position will report directly to Tom MccGwire, Head of Corporate Development / M&A Advisory.

Proven relevant experience (3+ years) with a strong preference for Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or other advisory-related roles.
High degree of autonomy and ability to produce client-ready deliverables (PPT, Word) and conduct detailed financial & deal analyses (LBO, M&A, 3-statement modelling, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages a bonus).
Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment, working under tight deadlines and balancing competing client-facing and internal corporate development projects simultaneously.
Detailed understanding of the sports business landscape and commercial business models with a deep passion for sports (direct experience a bonus).

Internal Inorganic Growth / Strategic Initiatives:  Collaborate with IRIS leadership to drive strategic initiatives aimed at elevating our position in the sports industry and building toward a diverse owned-IP portfolio , including deal evaluation, financial due diligence, strategic planning and business case development.
M&A Advisory and Fundraising:  Play a critical role in the end-to-end deal process, from financial modelling to proactively building relationships with VC, PE and family office investors to sourcing capital for our mandates.
Investment & Commercial Due Diligence: Perform detailed industry analyses, benchmarking and preparing investment theses for senior Management teams. Corporate Development: Play a foundational role in helping build IRIS during our upstart phase, contributing to recruiting, thought leadership and culture building.

Independently drive workstreams and projects forward with a proactive, autonomous goal-oriented approach.
Leverage data to analyse some of the most complex problems our clients face to deliver impactful solutions.
Handle diverse responsibilities alongside corporate development and M&A Advisory work.
 
Play an important role in driving forward game-changing investments across the sports, media, entertainment landscape.
