This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Guildford or Coventry, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The opportunity

Working within the product team and collaborating with design, engineering and commercial teams. The product manager for lifestyle products will excel in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, and highly cross-functional environment. You will drive the strategy and roadmap for lifestyle products. Ultimately contributing to the mission by shipping products that our customers love.

Success in this role requires an obsession with delivering innovative customer experiences, and a deep understanding of how customers want to use their automotive products.

What you’ll do

Support the Product Management team by developing a customer centric approach to lifestyle features, accessories and personalisation.

Working closely with Design and Engineering, recommend a suite of lifestyle features, options and accessories, which elevate the customer experience and increase the reach of our automotive products.

Develop customer use cases, including how some features could be offered as part of a subscription / on-demand service, and delivered as part of a modular integrated approach to the base vehicle design.

Directing consumer insight, getting into the mind of our customers and developing user needs, justifying an approach to personalisation of new vehicles which considers both factory fit options and bespoke off-line personalisation.

Work together with the commercial and finance team to develop the business cases, pricing and margin targets. Collaborate on new retail strategies.

Develop innovative hypothesis based on broad user and market research, test concepts with users to prioritize feature content.

Who you are

5+ years post qualification experience in Product management. Ideally in automotive or physical consumer product. A background in design, engineering or marketing would be beneficial.

You have direct experience in turning customer research into product direction and concept trade-offs.

You will be able to clearly communicate the visions for the lifestyle product category and cascade this vision into product requirements.

Evidence of shipping successful B2C hardware products with a high level of technical complexity.

Creative, strategic and technical mindset with ability to think outside the box and challenge convention.

Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business

A multi-tasker who successfully prioritises and executes against tight deadlines in a rapidly evolving work environment.

Courageous and ambitious - has a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve great results; finding a way when encountering obstacles or setbacks.

Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment where change is constant, and structures and systems are new and constantly evolving.
