Community CAMHS Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner

If this sounds like you, New Forest CAMHS are seeking dynamic and innovative Band 6 Community Nurses (all cohorts with relevant experience) or Mental Health Practitioners (Occupational Therapist or Social Workers) to join our friendly, experienced and highly motivated team to work with children, young people and their families presenting with significant mental health disorders who have been accepted into the service. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to learn and develop your skills to deliver high standards of timely and responsive care to young people and their families. You will have an identified clinical supervisor to guide and support your development with knowledge and skills for the role and have regular clinical and line management supervision and annual appraisals. Main duties of the job You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to join the MDT to undertake quality mental health and clinical risk assessments and deliver therapeutic evidenced based interventions, individually and as a group facilitator. The role will include working across the team duty service and completing assessments for children with suspected neurodiversity (ASC & ADHD) and may involve supporting ADHD medication monitoring clinics. You will be confident in managing duty calls into service and be competent to complete prioritised reviews and liaise and engage with clinicians from other teams and partner agencies to encourage collaborative working to provide support around a child or young person. This role also holds the expectation to clinically supervise junior staff and act as a practice supervisor or assessor to students on placement with us.
