Description

ISP International Learning Opportunities for Students Project Manager Role Profile

Purpose of Role

ISPs International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) is a centrally curated programme that provides our students with a wide range of innovative, best-in-class intercultural learning opportunities. By facilitating meaningful opportunities for students across the world to connect and learn with each other, our ILOS are critical in developing a range of life competencies that are central to being and becoming positive, active global citizens.

At ISP, everyone is a learner.

Together, we engage in the ongoing process of exploring, expanding, and evolving our practice in ways that will directly impact and improve student learning. At ISP, we put learners and learning first.

Learner (ISP definition)

The ISP learner recognises that their mindset, experiences, and actions drive their learning outcomes. With this awareness, they exercise voice, choice, and ownership over their process of learning - leading their learning and the learning of others.

The ILOS Project Manager will be responsible for managing and further developing the International Opportunities for Students, and the timelines for launch windows of these ILOS programmes.

At the International Schools Partnership (ISP) we want to provide collaborative learning opportunities across our schools. The objective of these initiatives is to give students opportunities to collaborate through life-changing international, beyond the classroom learning experiences across our schools regions - Europe, Iberia, USA & Canada, Mexico & Central America, South America, Middle East, Malaysia, Vietnam & Thailand.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to be available to spend at least 2 months of the year in Spain.

International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS)

At the International Schools Partnership (ISP), we believe that as part of our students learning journey it is important that they have the chance to experience learning beyond the classroom and connect with other ISP students across the world. As a global group of schools our students benefit from being part of a wider international community, which provides many additional learning and cultural opportunities.

The ILOS provide amazing learning experiences that enable our students to grow their knowledge, skills, and understanding of:

  • Language and communication skills
  • Different cultures and traditions with other ISP students from other countries, and build friendships
  • Transferable skills including critical thinking, confidence, teamwork and leadership
  • Their capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses
  • What it means to be a responsible global citizen

Currently ISP offers 9 main global study opportunities to their students. The objective is to increase our international opportunities for students in the next two years with programmes focused on S.T.E.A.M., Service Learning & Social Impact. Currently the opportunities consist of:

  • A month-long International Exchange Program
  • A Virtual Exchange Program
  • A Model United Nations that brings students together to simulate a UN conference
  • Chess competitions
  • Film making
  • Grants for environmental projects, including a tree-planting partnership to offset our carbon footprint
  • A Science initiative with a focus on research methods and analysis
  • A fundraising initiative to raise awareness and improve the lives of street-connected young people across the globe

ISP Principles

Begin with our children and students. Our children and students are at the heart of what we do. Simply, their success is our success. Wellbeing and safety are both essential for learners and learning. Therefore, we are consistent in identifying potential safeguarding and Health & Safety issues and acting and following up on all concerns appropriately.

Treat everyone with care and respect. We look after one another, embrace similarities and differences and promote the well-being of self and others.

Operate effectively. We focus relentlessly on the things that are most important and will make the most difference. We apply school policies and procedures and embody the shared ideas of our community.
