Purpose of the Job

As a Service Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines in our fleet. You are responsible for conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, and maintaining safety standards to optimize turbine performance..

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Maintenance & inspections

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines according to established schedules.
  • Perform repairs or replacement of components as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in wind turbine maintenance and operations.

Customer contact

  • During all activities you are responsible for maintaining customer contact on site to update them on the status.
Quality & Safety
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • You are responsible for checking and maintaining quality of all components relating to wind turbine, as well as recognizing interconnections within the system’s architecture.
  • You are accountable for the safe and effective operation of electrical and mechanical components within the wind turbine.

Requirement

  • You have a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional electrical/mechanical education or certification in wind turbine maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions, demonstrating physical fitness and agility.
  • Proficient in using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, or servicing of mechanical or electrical systems, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong IT skills
