Health & Safety Consultant Position

Our client, a Health & Safety and Project Management Consultancy, is seeking a Health & Safety Consultant to join them. The H&S Consultant will be working on a mixture of Construction & FM schemes, completing audits and inspections, as well as some CDM / PD on occasion. The scope of projects will include commercial, residential, and some FM audits.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will:

  1. Have NEBOSH & IOSH qualifications
  2. Have experience in the Construction sector

Travel on a fairly wide basis will be required with overnight stays; the split will be across sites, home working, and occasional office visits to Leeds. Two positions are available:

  1. One person based in the South Midlands (Coventry, Northampton area) with travel from London to North England.
  2. The other position would suit someone based in North Yorkshire operating up to the North East.

Overnight stays will be required at times for both positions; these will be booked in advance and fully expensed.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £40k - £55k DOE
Hybrid / flexible working: All expenses covered including mileage at 45p per mile
Holidays: 25 days holiday plus BH
Pension: Contributory pension scheme

Ongoing CPD: Training courses can be provided
Type: Full-time, permanent (PAYE)

Position Overview

Location: South Midlands OR North Yorkshire
Responsibilities: Completing a range of H&S work on Construction & FM schemes
Work Environment: Operating from sites and home mainly with occasional visits to the Leeds office
Travel: Travelling across large areas of the UK with overnight stays at times

Position Requirements
  1. Hold NEBOSH Construction certificate
  2. Ideally hold an IOSH qualification
  3. Good tenure and seeking a permanent role
  4. Full UK driving licence
  5. Prior experience within H&S for Construction & FM
  6. Must be able to work independently and complete reports without assistance
