We provide integrated and ground-breaking solutions for the civil engineering and construction sectors, with specialisms in rail, highways, airports, marine, defence, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure.

As the HR Advisor you are responsible for supporting delivery of HR activities across VolkerServices, as well as contributing to Group projects as required. You will be responsible for the below;

Training and talent:

  • Co-ordinate delivery of the Services L&D plan, including training needs analysis
  • Assist with the development and delivery of bespoke training
  • Promote core training activity, such as management upskilling and integrity suite, to maximise participation
  • Support Services talent management activity across all teams
  • Support with the management, communication and output of the VolkerServices performance review process

Engagement:

  • Support Services employee engagement activity including coordination of MySay survey; analysis of employee feedback; contributing to action plans; produce related comms
  • Develop Services employee communications to engage employees, deliver core messages and celebrate success
  • Assist with broader employee engagement activity across the business eg. central MySay planning and comms

Recognition:

  • Manage employee recognition schemes, and develop communications to celebrate success
  • Support group-wide employee recognition activity, including the Platinum Awards
  • Promote Platinum Awards across all Services teams

Resourcing:

  • Support resourcing activity across all Services teams, including workforce planning with managers
  • Support the production and maintenance of job descriptions for all roles across VolkerServices
  • Develop a reward framework for all departments

Employee relations:

  • Support with the management of employee relations processes, including note taking and maintaining accurate records of cases.
  • Support the monitoring and management of sickness absence cases across VolkerServices, providing line managers with the appropriate advice and support.
  • Support the development of policy and procedures as required

About you

  • Some experience in HR (or similar roles eg. recognition, engagement)
  • Possess, or be working towards, a relevant qualification
