As our Musical Theatre teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that ignite the creativity and imagination of our students. Your expertise will guide them through the basic aspects of Musical Theatre, and the rehearsal process. You will create at least one performance and one showcase per year with the children and young people.
Your ability to share your industry insights and practical skills will be invaluable in preparing our students for the dynamic world of Musical Theatre. Your enthusiasm and dedication will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of performance professionals but will also have a focus on the development of life skills through performance training.

PQA is a leading provider of weekend performing arts training and is currently looking for a Musical Theatre Teacher to work with our students at PQA Selby on a Saturday 8:30 am - 12.You will be a triple threat teacher with experience in working with children from 6 - 18 years, creating material that can ultimately be performed live in our performances and showcases. You will ideally have experience working with children and young people and have a strong background in performance.

Successful candidates will be offered freelance contracts which are conditional upon the candidate having or obtaining (we can provide your check, then you must register with the update service) a current DBS and the taking up of 2 references.

We believe in the importance of representation and understand how crucial it is for the next generation to see people of all backgrounds inspiring them in theatre and film.

A degree or background in Musical Theatre
A director/teacher with experience in making live performances with children and young people.

All teachers will ideally have the below qualities:
Genuine passion for their subject and for teaching.
You will be leading Musical Theatre workshops with children from 6 - 18 years creating material that can ultimately be performed live. You will ideally have some experience working with children and young people and have a strong background in Musical Theatre.

You will be required to plan and deliver engaging, fun lessons to 6-18-year-olds, working on projects throughout the terms.

Excellent rates of pay and support, start day September 21st 2024.
