Job Summary

The Montessori School of Raleigh is seeking a qualified Adjunct Middle and Upper School Theater Teacher to join our team for the fall semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities

• Teach two sections of Theater to middle and upper school students
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Theater education scope and sequence curriculum
• Establish a supportive and collaborative learning environment that fosters agile thinkers, poised communicators, and gracious collaborators
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to assist with curriculum development and implementation
• Attend all required faculty and team meetings
• Maintain accurate student records, lesson plans, and parent reports
• Communicate effectively with parents through written correspondence and conferences
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Academics or Head of School

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of teaching experience at various age levels
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to the mission and core values of MSR, including respect, integrity, community, and love of learning
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
