Job Description

Developing, managing and overseeing a comprehensive marketing communications strategy will be your focus in this newly created role in SMT GB’s Business Development team. Reporting to the Business Development Director and supported by 2 direct reports you’ll:

  • Create and manage digital marketing initiatives for social media, websites, email campaigns, marketing material, and press releases
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders on brand enhancement ensuring consistency in our brand messaging
  • Analyse market research data and provide valuable market insights and potential business opportunities to our regional sales teams
  • Build positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage and generate publicity

As a new role that is not yet defined, you’ll have the opportunity to put your stamp on it. It is an ideal role for someone looking to expand their management skills and take their career to the next level.

Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding and practical knowledge of marketing communications within B2B, ideally in the industrial, construction or automotive sectors. Working strategically, you’ll be experienced in creating and executing new marketing communications initiatives by utilising your market data analysis and interpretation. Other skills:

  • Team management and working collaboratively at all levels is essential
  • Project Management and the ability to work on numerous projects concurrently
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent data analysis and ability to make recommendations

Travel and occasional overnight stays will be required along with a valid driving licence for the UK.
